257. NOT WHAT WE PLANNED

I’m sorry I’m not able to tell you more about our holiday in Kent this week as I’d planned to do, but unfortunately we’ve had some sad news. As you know from some of my posts in the past, I don’t do my blog all by myself. Instead, I have two helpers, Mum and Ali, and – together with Ali’s mum who knits some of my clothes for me to make sure I always look smart – we make up Team Wilf, though I’m the Team Leader because it’s my blog.

I think up the ideas for each post, but then Mum helps me write them up and put them into the computer and then we send them on to Ali and he sorts out all the pictures and the animations and does all the magical stuff.

Anyway, we were just making a start on writing the next post last night, when we had a message from Ali to say that his grandma had died earlier in the evening and – as if that wasn’t enough – his wife’s grandma had died that morning…

That meant that not only was Ali very upset, but also he would be very busy over the next few days and so wouldn’t be able to work his magic on our intended post.

Me and Mum know that he’ll do it as soon as he can, however, and meanwhile I thought you’d like to know that Spring has finally sprung here in Yorkshire.

Although the daffodils – which are our favourite flower – are just about finished now…

…there are bluebells in the woods…

…and blossom on the trees…

There are lambs in the fields…

…and the birds are singing again…

…while along the beckside everything is growing lush and lovely…

That’s all for today, so take care and stay safe – and look out for some more tales from me as soon as we get back to normal!
